Things to do in Mangalia

Why you should go

Ninety seconds on Mangalia

A port at the southern end of the coast, founded as the Dorian colony of Callatis and now a shipyard town with the quietest beaches of the developed strip. Its Ottoman mosque of 1590 is the oldest in the country. It is the base for the small southern resorts named after planets, and for the sulphurous springs that gave it a spa role from the 1900s. It is a much plainer place than Constanța and considerably cheaper for it.
