Palace of Culture
A secessionist palace finished in 1913 with a hall of mirrors lit by twelve stained glass windows telling Székely ballads, a concert hall with a 4,463 pipe organ, and mosaic and majolica across the front. It is the finest interior of its period in the country.

Târgu Mureș Medieval Citadel
A seven bastion citadel of 1602 around a fourteenth century Franciscan church, restored in 2018 with the guild bastions opened as exhibition rooms. It is entered free and used as a park.

Teleki Library
A public library opened by Sámuel Teleki in 1802 and still in its original room, holding about forty thousand volumes including a 1466 Tacitus and one of the country's Bolyai collections. It was among the first libraries in the region open to anyone.

Valea Verde Retreat
A set of Saxon houses restored in a valley village north west of the town, run with a kitchen garden, a truffle hunt and a restaurant that draws people out from the city.
