Bermuda Botanical Gardens
Thirty six acres of subtropical planting across the hill from Hamilton, holding collections of hibiscus, palms and subtropical fruit and a garden laid out to be walked by touch and scent. The Premier's official residence stands in the grounds.

Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art
A museum built on a single idea, to bring home the pictures famous painters made in Bermuda and then took away with them. Winslow Homer, Georgia O'Keeffe and Marsden Hartley all worked here and all are in the collection.

Camden House
The official residence of the Premier of Bermuda, an eighteenth century house standing in the Botanical Gardens with a wide veranda and cedar interiors. It is opened to visitors on limited afternoons when the Premier is not entertaining.

Elbow Beach
A wide south shore beach with a public stretch at its eastern end and hotel frontage along the rest, close enough to Hamilton to reach on a short bus ride. The wreck of the Pollockshields lies in shallow water off the middle of it.

Hungry Bay Nature Reserve
The island's largest mangrove swamp, standing in a drowned inlet on the south shore and reached by a rough path off the road. Hurricanes have taken it back repeatedly and it has grown back each time.

Newstead Belmont Hills
A hotel on the Hamilton Harbour shore in Paget, built around an old Bermudian manor house, with its own ferry dock and a golf course across the water. The city is four minutes away by boat.

Paget Marsh Nature Reserve
A boardwalk through what Bermuda looked like before anyone landed, a peat marsh holding stands of native cedar and palmetto that were never cleared. The whole circuit takes half an hour and the temperature drops under the canopy.
