Ninety seconds on Pont Casse
Three roads meet at a roundabout in the middle of the island, four hundred metres up in unbroken rainforest. Almost every journey across Dominica passes through it, and it is a junction rather than a village. It is not a village so much as a junction with forest on all sides, and it is the nearest point on the road network to the Emerald Pool. The Waitukubuli trail's interpretation centre stands here.
A fall into a green pool in closed rainforest, reached on a made loop path of about fifteen minutes from the road. It is the easiest waterfall on the island to get to and the busiest on a cruise day.
