Things to do in Trafalgar

Why you should go

Ninety seconds on Trafalgar

Hot water comes out of the hillside at Trafalgar and the gardens are planted in it. The village takes its name from the two waterfalls above it, which are the softest introduction to the interior on the island. It is the softest introduction to the interior on the island: the viewing platform is a quarter of an hour on a made path, and everything harder starts further up the road. Most visitors come for a morning and go back down to Roseau.

  1. Trafalgar Falls

    Trafalgar Falls

    Waterfall · 1.5 hr

Two waterfalls dropping side by side into the same basin, known as the Father and the Mother. A made path reaches the viewing platform in ten to fifteen minutes; the boulder scramble to the pools below takes an hour or more and is genuinely slippery.

  2. Papillote Wilderness Retreat

    Hotel

A small inn beside the Trafalgar Falls path, known less for its rooms than for the botanic garden planted around it on hot spring ground, which has been worked since the 1960s.
