Ninety seconds on Fantasy Cave
Worth adding only as the back half of a combined ticket. What it gives up in the neighbour's pontoon walk it returns in calcite read overhead rather than through water.
Taken after the cave next door, the difference lands at once: this one shows its formations above the water rather than beneath it. Whole walls are sheeted in calcite that has set like a waterfall stopped mid fall, stalactites hang close enough overhead to read, and deep pools lie at the foot of them where the passages out to the ocean begin. The lighting was rebuilt when the cave came back into use and it carries a warmer colour than the blue next door. A guide talks through the geology on the way round. The chamber is the smaller of the pair and it closes in, which is the usual reason a visitor doing one cave picks the other.
