Drvengrad
Emir Kusturica built a wooden village on the Mećavnik ridge as a film set and kept it, adding a cinema, a church, a library and lodging around a cobbled square. Streets carry names from his own pantheon of directors and writers. A film and music festival runs in January. It pairs naturally with the Šargan railway, which stops in the valley below.

Gold Gondola
A panoramic gondola climbs from the centre of the resort to the Tornik ski area, a ride of about nine kilometres that ranks among the longest of its kind. Cabins cross meadows, forest and the Ribnica valley, with a mid station for walkers who want a one way trip. Queues build on summer weekends and in school holidays. Wind or ice can close it without much notice.

Gostilje Waterfall
Below the village of Gostilje a stream drops in stages over mossy rock, with wooden stairs and platforms leading down to the pools at the base. Water is high and loud in spring and thins by late summer. A cafe and mills sit at the top of the path. Parking is limited, so mornings avoid the queue on the single access road.

Šargan Eight
Narrow gauge trains work a restored mountain line that loops back over itself in a figure of eight to gain height between Mokra Gora and Šargan Vitasi, climbing some three hundred metres in a few kilometres of track. Tunnels and trestles come thick on the two and a half hour round trip. Departures are few each day and sell out, so booking ahead is sensible.

Sirogojno
Timber houses, dairies and a barn were moved from surrounding hamlets to form an open air museum of highland building, arranged as a working village around an eighteenth century church. Demonstrations cover bread, cheese and the knitwear the place became known for. Cottages can be booked for the night. It lies around half an hour by road from the resort centre.

Stopića Cave
Terraced travertine basins fill the far chamber of this river cave, filled and overflowed by a waterfall that runs hardest after snowmelt. Lit walkways cover several hundred metres of passage and the guided circuit takes around forty minutes. Temperature inside sits near eight degrees whatever the season, so a layer is worth carrying. The approach road from the main highway is narrow and winding.

Tornik
Ski runs and lifts occupy the slopes of Zlatibor's highest summit at 1496 metres, with a season that usually holds from late December into March and snow cannons covering the gaps. Summer opens a zip line, an alpine coaster and walking routes along the ridge. The gondola or a mountain road gets there. Equipment hire and a ski school run at the base.
