Ninety seconds on Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ
The cathedral's stone is rough at the base and finely carved near the top, so walk all the way round before you go in. Inside, look high on the painted walls for the fresco that put Tito among the damned.
Seven crosses stand on the roof, and no two match in style or face the same way. Lower down, icons are cut into the rough foundation blocks almost at random.
Inside are gold-ground murals, marble floors, mosaics and a huge central chandelier. The fresco shows Tito in uniform with the heads of Marx and Engels in a sea of fire, beside Adam and Eve. It caused a row in 2014.
The crypt holds the tomb of Metropolitan Amfilohije and is not always open. Baptisms and services go on through the day around visitors.
