Centre of Contemporary Art of Montenegro, Petrović Palace
The park is half the reason to walk out here. The palace is one of several buildings this museum hangs work in and what is inside any of them changes through the year; the non aligned collection is the part that is always its own.

Ruins of Doclea
Foundations in a field, with a map and a description at each building and an unstaffed hut by the gate where a fee would be paid. What it asks of a visitor is the patience to read a plan on the ground.

Podgorica Old Town
The Ottoman core of Podgorica, holding the Clock Tower built in 1667 by Hadži-paša Osmanagić, one of the very few Ottoman landmarks to survive the bombing of the city in the Second World War. Its turret clock mechanism was made in 1890 in Bassano del Grappa.

Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ
Fifteen minutes inside and easy parking make it the simplest stop in a city with little else for visitors.

Five minutes on foot from parking in the old quarter; combine it with a coffee stop before the border.
