Ninety seconds on Porto Montenegro
Two Yugoslav navy submarines sit on the dry dock in front of the superyachts. This was the Austro-Hungarian Arsenal and then the navy's own yard until 2006, and the collection in the old sawmill is about that.

The first thing on the quay that is not a boat for sale is the Heroj, a Yugoslav navy submarine that covered 46,659 nautical miles before it was laid up and has been open here as a museum since 2013. A second, much smaller boat sits beside it. Behind them the Naval Heritage Collection is in a restored nineteenth century sawmill and is about the shipyard and the base rather than about the marina that replaced them. After that it is shops, and the walk back.
The Austro-Hungarians founded the Arsenal here in 1889 and it was the naval shipyard until 2006. The marina began on it the year after. The submarines, the cranes and the sheds are what was kept.
