Our Lady of the Rocks
Go from Perast rather than on a tour out of Kotor. The island takes ten minutes to walk round and the boatmen come back in about thirty, which is the right amount of time.

Perast Museum
The balcony over the water gets as much attention as the cases, and this is the one palace in Perast open as a museum rather than as a hotel. Shut every Monday and all through January.

Saint Nicholas Church
The church is free and the tower beside it is not, and the tower is shut from the middle of October to the middle of May. In season it opens about ten, later than the church, and children under fifteen are refused.

St. George's Island Benedictine Monastery
Notable families of Perast and of the whole bay were buried out here under the cypresses, and the Benedictines still hold the place, so it is closed to the public. What there is to see is seen from the water.

Venetian Palaces
The dated plaques on the walls are the whole exhibit. Sixteen to nineteen of them line one street, depending on what counts as a palace, and the only interior open without a room booked is the town museum.
