Ninety seconds on Maritime Museum Kotor

Housed in a 17th-century Baroque palace in Kotor old town, the collection covers Adriatic naval history, sea captains' artifacts, ship models, and local maritime traditions.
An audio guide is what the collection is built to be read with, and three storeys rise through the Grgurina family's palace above it. Portraits of captains, the uniforms and the ceremonial weapons that went with the rank, charts and navigation instruments, and the model ships of vessels the town's own families owned. Six bronze relief tables run through the sequence carrying the turns in Kotor's history.
The collection began with the Boka Marine fraternity in the late nineteenth century and found its permanent home in the Grgurina palace in 1938, where it has stayed.
