Ninety seconds on Becici Beach
By half past nine in season the front-row loungers are gone, so come early or in the last of the light. The path behind the beach runs round the bay, so a swim can turn into a walk to lunch without a car.
Rafailovici, at the far south end, was a fishing village and is now a run of seafood restaurants along its own front. The beach is soft multicoloured pebble along most of its two kilometres, turning to sand at the Rafailovici end.
It is neither quiet nor characterful. If that is what you want, go to the coves west of Budva.
