Cathedral of St. James
Built entirely of stone, with no timber or brick in its structure, the cathedral was assembled from interlocking slabs and vaults across a century of work by Juraj Dalmatinac and Nikola Firentinac. A frieze of seventy-one carved heads runs around the outside, thought to be portraits of contemporaries. The interior is small, and half an hour is enough.

Krka National Park
The Krka river falls through a series of travertine steps inside a canyon, with Skradinski Buk the widest of them and a boardwalk loop running past mills and a restored hydroelectric plant. Boats run in from Skradin in season, and swimming below the falls is no longer permitted. Two to three hours covers the main loop.
