Bermuda Craft Market
On a quiet weekday you can browse the island's largest market of local crafts. On cruise days and from Friday to Sunday, the Dockyard's glassworks and rum cake company open as well.

Clocktower Mall
Half an hour here is a cool, dry break between the ferry and the museum. Small shops and galleries share one air-conditioned floor behind walls nearly a metre thick.

National Museum of Bermuda
Give it half a day and bring lunch: one hall holds more than 1,500 objects from the earliest wrecks, and the ramparts carry guns from three centuries.

Ireland Island
Walk out of the Dockyard along Malabar Road for the calmest two hours at this end of Bermuda: a naval cemetery in a sheltered valley, and a mangrove park where herons and egrets roost.

Snorkel Park Beach
Easy family swimming is the reason to come, with gear hire and a bar on the beach. Do not come for Bermuda's best snorkelling: the reef water is often cloudy from the ships berthed next door.
