The mausoleum of Petar II Petrovic Njegos crowns Jezerski Vrh at 1,657 metres, reached by a tunnel and 461 steps from the summit car park. Ivan Mestrovic designed the monument, opened in 1974, with the poet-bishop seated in granite beneath a gold mosaic vault; the circular terrace behind looks from the Bay of Kotor to Lake Skadar.
