Things to do in Chinchero

Why you should go

Ninety seconds on Chinchero

A weaving town on the high plain between Cusco and Urubamba, built over Inca foundations. A long terraced wall holds the plaza and the colonial church above it was raised on the royal estate of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. At 3,754 metres it stands higher than Cusco, which makes it a poor first stop off the plane and a good one after some days in the valley.
