Adršpach Rock Lake
Hidden in a narrow gorge above the Great Waterfall, this small green lake lies on the main Adršpach circuit. Boats cross it from April to October, with the boatman pointing out rock shapes on the walls. Boat tickets cannot be booked ahead and are sold at a kiosk by the water for cash in koruna only.

Adršpach Rocks
Towers named the Lovers and the Mayor and his Wife rise along the main circuit, which loops through the Gothic Gate past the Great Waterfall and the rock lake in about two hours. Entry needs an online ticket for a set hour, and nothing is sold on site once a slot is full. Paths are narrow, with steps and ladders, and the trail is busiest from late morning to early afternoon.

Broumov Monastery
Baroque rebuilding by the Dientzenhofer architects gave this Benedictine monastery its library, refectory and church of St Vojtěch. Guided tours lead through these rooms, and a replica of the monastery's seventeenth century copy of the Turin Shroud, found in the church in 1999, hangs in the refectory. A cultural centre now runs concerts and exhibitions in the courtyards. Visits are by guided tour only, with fewer departures between November and March.

Hvězda Chapel
On the crest of the Broumov Walls above Police nad Metují stands a baroque chapel built on a star shaped plan. A rock lookout a few steps away looks over the Broumov basin to the Owl Mountains in Poland. A road climbs to a car park beside it, and the ridge trail continues along the cliffs.

Střmen Rock Castle
Iron stairways and ladders scale a lone rock above the Teplice rock town to the site of a medieval castle, where beam sockets and cut steps are all that remain. From the top the view runs over the forest of towers toward Adršpach. The climb is steep and exposed, with several hundred steps. It is reached from the Teplice nad Metují entrance in under an hour.
