Landmark
Brandberg
A granite massif pushed up through the plain carries Königstein, the highest point in the country at 2,573 metres, and holds thousands of rock paintings in its ravines. Summit attempts take several days and a permit. Most visits go only as far as the Tsisab Ravine on the eastern side.

Brandberg White Lady Lodge
Chalets and camping sit on the bank of the Ugab below the mountain, which puts guests in the path of the elephants that move along the riverbed. The lodge runs drives to find them. It is the nearest bed to the Tsisab trailhead and the only one with the river in front of it.

White Lady Rock Painting
A painted figure in the Tsisab Ravine was named by a French priest who read it as a Mediterranean woman, and later work identified it as a male figure in ceremonial dress. The walk in takes about forty five minutes over loose rock. A guide from the community is required and waits at the trailhead.
