Arosa Bear Sanctuary
On a hillside at 2,000 metres, near the middle station of the Weisshorn cable car, this sanctuary gives up to five brown bears rescued from poor captivity almost three hectares of open ground. It opened in 2018, run with an animal welfare foundation, and welcomes visitors from June to October, with occasional opening outside that season.

Arosa Rail Line
A metre-gauge line from Chur that runs along the public street through the city before climbing 1,155 metres in twenty-six kilometres, over the Langwies viaduct, which was the largest reinforced concrete arch in the world when it opened in 1914.

Obersee
The lake in the middle of the village with the path around it and the ice rink on it in winter, at 1,734 metres. It is the centre of Arosa in the way a square is the centre of a town elsewhere.

Weisshorn
Above Arosa at 2,653 metres, this local summit is reached by a two-stage cable car starting near the railway station. The panorama takes in hundreds of peaks, from the Saentis to the Bernina, and the ridge is a popular paragliding launch. It is far easier than the Valais peak of that name.
