North Face Trail
The three great north walls held in frame across a whole afternoon of easy walking.

Gimmelwald
A car-free hamlet of about a hundred and thirty residents on the terrace below Muerren, at 1,364 metres, with no road connection at all. The Schilthorn cable car stops here between Stechelberg and Muerren, and a footpath climbs to Muerren. Old Walser farmhouses line its single street, and the whole village is listed as Swiss heritage.
