Adrasan
A two-kilometre bay south of Çıralı reached over a forest pass, with clear water, a handful of pensions and boat trips out to Suluada. It is quieter than Çıralı and harder to get to.

Olympos
A Lycian and Roman city scattered through the pine and oleander of a river gorge that runs down to the sea, deliberately left half-cleared. The path through it comes out on the beach at the far end.

Olympos Beach
Three and a half kilometres of pebble and coarse sand with the Taurus behind it, signed as Çıralı at the north end and Olympos at the south. It is a protected loggerhead nesting site, so lights and vehicles are kept off it between May and October.

Olympos Lodge
A garden of orange and pomegranate trees running down to the Çıralı beach, with a small number of separate rooms among them and peacocks on the lawns. It has been here since long before the road was paved.

Tahtalı Dağı
The 2,365-metre peak the ancients called Olympos, reached by a cable car from Tekirova that climbs to the summit in ten minutes. Paragliders launch from the top and the Lycian Way crosses below it.

Yanartaş
The Chimaera, a hillside where methane seeping from the rock has burned continuously for at least two and a half thousand years and gave the ancient world its fire-breathing monster. It is a half-hour climb and it is worth doing after dark.
