Castello Doria
The eleventh-century watchtower on the rock above the harbour, climbed by a stepped lane from the main street. The circular terrace at the top looks straight down on the only natural port in the Cinque Terre. A charge is collected at the gate and the stair up is narrow.

Chiesa di Santa Margherita d'Antiochia
A Ligurian Gothic church standing directly on the waterfront, so close that storms break against its east wall. It is entered unusually through what was the apse end. Its bell tower stands separate from the nave on the rock behind, and the square outside is the village's only flat ground.
