Lake Zug
A lake of thirty-eight square kilometres running south towards the Rigi, with a shore path from the town and boats in summer. It is warm and shallow at the northern end and much deeper under the mountains at the far one.

Zytturm
The town's clock tower and old gate, with a stepped roof in the blue and white of the canton, an astronomical clock and a viewing platform reached by a wooden stair. It closes the top of the old town.

Zug Old Town
Three lanes of painted burgher houses running down to the lake, complete enough that the whole quarter is protected, with the Kolinplatz at the top and the water at the bottom. It takes twenty minutes and rewards a slower pass.

Zugerberg
The wooded ridge above the town at 1,039 metres, reached by a funicular from Schoenegg, looking over the lake to the Rigi and the Bernese Alps. It is a broad plateau of pasture rather than a summit.
