Băile Felix
A thermal spa ten kilometres south with water at about 48 degrees, used since the Romans and developed from the eighteenth century. A protected lake in the resort grows a water lily that survives from before the last ice age.

Baroque Palace
The bishop's palace of 1770 with a hundred rooms and three courtyards, modelled loosely on Belvedere in Vienna, now the museum of the Criș country. It is the largest Baroque building in the country.

Black Eagle Palace
A secessionist block of 1908 with a Y shaped glazed arcade cut through it, named for the stained glass eagle over the entrance. It is the emblem of the city's art nouveau.

Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mary
The largest Baroque church in the country, finished in 1780, with an organ of 1780 and a nave of 70 metres. It stands with the palace as one planned ensemble.

Hotel Astoria
A secessionist hotel of 1902 on the river bank, part of the wave of building that gave the city its art nouveau, restored and back in use as a hotel.

Moon Church
An Orthodox church of 1790 carrying a mechanism installed in 1793 that turns a gilded sphere to show the phase of the moon, driven by the tower clock and still working.

Oradea Fortress
A five pointed Italian trace fortress rebuilt from 1570, one of the few pentagonal bastion forts in Europe still complete, restored between 2010 and 2015 and now holding museums and workshops inside its ring.

Oradea Neolog Synagogue
A Moorish revival synagogue of 1878 with a 30 metre dome, restored in 2018, built for what was one of the largest Jewish communities in Hungary before 1944.
