Things to do
3-
Colțești Citadel
A ruined thirteenth century castle on a rock spur four kilometres south, built by the Thoroczkay family and slighted by Habsburg troops in 1704. Two towers still stand and the walk up takes half an hour.
-
Piatra Secuiului
The limestone crag standing 1,129 metres over the village, climbed in about two hours on a marked path from the square. It is the reason the village exists where it does and it is a rock climbing area as well.
-
Vălișoara Gorge
A limestone gorge below the village with bolted climbing routes on both walls and a road running through the bottom of it. It is short, sunny and busy at weekends.
